About me

I describe myself as a positive, warm, and caring person. I value family, relationship building and an international environment. I am very passionate about children, their development, potential and aspirations, as well as bilingualism.

I was attending Music School for 5 years, where I was playing the flute and piano. Music has a significant meaning for me. I also believe that music is valuable for young children and could be implemented in the classroom, so that their experience is more enjoyable. Besides, I also believe in the power of learning through play and I identify myself with the idea of teaching practical life skills inspired by Montessori.

I have graduated from the University of Roehampon in London. I was awarded the Bachelor of Arts in Education Studies with First Class Honours.

My teaching experience

During my studies, I was working in the nursery in London mainly with two-years-old children, but occasionally with children between 6 months and 5 years.

I was fortunate to do my placement in the primary school in London, where I was involved in supporting Year 5 Teacher and the class of 30 children.

I had also a short-lasting opportunity to work in the nursery in Poland, near Lublin, mainly with one-years-old children.

How about you dear Reader, who is your inspiration?

  1. Hello the most cheerful girl in the GPTE! :)
First of all, I am so impressed by your interest in music! That's a great tool which can be used during the lesson to make it more engaging and lively. Children do love dancing, singing and moving, And what is more, that will undoubtedly help them to memorize some vocabulary!:-) Great!
This post was really interesting, it's so nice to know you a bit more. Hopefully we could meet in person one day!
    Take care,
    Natalia.

  2. Dear Angelika,

I had no idea that you are sooo skilled! Your proficiency in English is noticible and perhaps thanks to music it was easier for you to learn the language. Some students say that the best teacher can play an instrument or sing so you are on the right path to their hearts ;)
I am also impressed by your magnitude of experience! Keep going and remember that you are good at it!
Wish you all the best our smiling girl!

    1. Hi Magda
I did not hear about the best teachers being able to play an instrument, so thank you for sharing it with me. It is a different story with singing, I am not very good at it, but I truly love and enjoy singing :).
It is definitely an advantage to be a musically skilled person.
Besides, thank you for saying that I am good, we tend to underestimate our abilities. Sometimes the reassurance is something what we need to hear to be able to believe in ourselves.

    1. Hi Naila,
I agree, you can truly understand something when you have a change to experience it by yourself. Music can be therapeutic and is likely to result in a positive mood. On the other hand, the music school was very demanding, but I am happy I could experience it, I have such beautiful memories.

  4. Hello, Angelika!

Thank you for a wonderful post. When i was a kid i also started attending piano classes, but unfortunately, i had to drop out, so i never learnt how to play the piano. Playing musical instruments is definitely an amazing skill. It would be really nice to hear you play us something one day :)

    1. Hello Natallia,
Playing an instrument, but particularly practising and mastering musical composition can be really time-consuming. Remember, it is not something bad that you dropped out, sometimes the stress associated with the workload can be very overwhelming and then it is not worth it. Our well-being is the most important. Still well done for trying :)
I think we could arrange some playing time, so I can show off :D.

  5. Dear Angelika!

We have a lot in common, since I also studied music, played the piano and went to dance classes. But, unfortunately, I could not reach the professional level. I absolutely agree with your statement about music. As people say: Music heals all diseases.
I am impressed at the fact that you studied in London, it's great! Your English skills are undeniable.
I discovered you from the other side. Thank you for this interesting post! I am looking forward to reading your new posts:) Take a care!)

    1. Hello Bangin,
Thank you for your comment and noticing that I am a skilled person. It is the outcome of me being very hardworking and dedicated. Many times I had to choose learning instead of having fun with friends, My childhood was very busy, in fact, I am still very busy in my life, but I do not regret it. We make decisions for ourselves and by choosing something, we are loosing something else :).
